A Celebration of Appreciation: Hi-Tea SEMESCO Prefect 2024

 Every school has its unsung heroes—students who step up to lead, inspire, and ensure harmony within the school community. These are the prefects, the student leaders who dedicate their time and energy to maintain discipline, assist teachers, and serve as role models for their peers. To honor their hard work and contributions, our school recently hosted a special hi-tea event, filled with elegance, gratitude, and heartfelt appreciation.

    As per-discussion, the hi-tea was organized with the the themed color 'pink&black' to resonated with each other. There were no other particular dress code except for the theme color, therefore the room was filled with many students and teachers dressing themselves in many different outfits suited according to their fashion style. 

The Hi-Tea Experience

No hi-tea event is complete without an enticing spread of food and drinks. The menu was a perfect blend of savory and sweet delights, ensuring there was something for everyone

Savory Selections:

• Western Cuisines: Spaghetti Bolognese & Spaghetti Carbonara
• Malay Cuisines: Beef Rendang, White Rice, Malaysian's Traditional Confectionery & etc.
• Healthy choices such as salad and fruit rojak was also available

Sweet Treats:

• Chocolate Fountain pair with variety of condiments
• Chocolate Pudding, Mango Pudding and Strawberry Syrup Puddding
• Ice Cream and ABC (Ais Batu Campur)

Beverages:

• Coffee
• Tea
• Juices

The prefects and teachers mingled over these delicious treats, sharing laughs, stories, and memorable moments from the year. Enjoying themselves by living the moment!

Heartfelt Speeches And Awards

The event began with an inspiring speech coming from several teachers who expressed their gratitude for the prefects' dedication and integrity. Each speech filled us with the sense of duty, leaving us more motivated than ever. Earning a round of applause from the crowd each time.

Our head prefect, Aqif also took the stage to share his experiences. His stories of challenges, teamwork, and personal growth resonated deeply with his peers and left everyone feeling motivated and proud.

The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, where each prefect in Form 5 received a certificate of appreciation and a small token of gratitude as they will be graduating next year. Special awards were also presented to prefects who had gone above and beyond in their duties. For example, Arisah from F5 who received the tittle The Best Emcee throughout her years.

A New Chapter: New Look, New Responsibilities and Leadership

Moving on, after everyone had enjoyed their meal, it was time for the big reveal of unveiling the future of our movement for the year 2025! New positions, new leadership, new look and more. Let me break it down for you.

• Lucky Draw: Small and big gifts were gives out to the winners such as perfume, chocolates and bottles
• Best Outfit: The winners were decided based on voting from students and teachers

As the event came to a close, the prefects left with full hearts, cherished memories, and a renewed sense of purpose. This hi-tea was not just about recognizing their efforts but also about inspiring them to continue their journey as future leaders.
